Today Mark and I took some much needed time out and visited Lixouri and Lepeda beach to begin our own personal clean up.
Each person we spoke to had no concern for themselves as, thankfully, Lixouri was not badly effected by the storms. They all shared nothing but concern for their fellow islanders in Assos and Agia Effimia
The water has driven a large channel through Lepeda beach and power lines and trees are down all around from what we could see. There is little we can do about this but we did remove our first large bag of mainly plastic litter from the sand and shore. And fussed a few cats
