Many who go through Lakithra Kefalonia will recognise this majestic palm tree that is a different species to those affected by the palm beetles. I for one thought that it was immune to the beetle attacks because it has been here growing successfully for many years. Sadly it seems the beetles have had to resort to this species of plant now and it is meeting the end.
